Installing the Stetson Float Valve into your Pouralid Water Level System or other water feature is refreshingly straightforward. Begin by applying Teflon tape to the threaded nipple, wrapping it around 5 to 6 times for a watertight seal, then simply thread the float valve into the water feature opening. For a snug fit, wrap the valve body in a soft cloth and hand-tighten. Orient the hood scoop facing downward with the float arm extending outward and upward. To set the initial water level, loosen the wing nut with your fingers and lift the float arm to the off position, then adjust the float bottle to the 8:00 or 9:00 o’clock position. Once filling stops, fine-tune by raising or lowering the float arm until the water reaches your preferred level, then secure everything by tightening the wing nut firmly.
