Shut off the water supply at the stop valves or main shutoff before removing the faucet handle and retaining clip. Use a cartridge puller tool where applicable to avoid damaging the valve body during removal. Refer to local plumbing codes and the manufacturer service documentation for guidance on proper seating and orientation of the replacement cartridge.
